So browsing around deviant it seems there's slimmer and slimmer pickings for the decent art these days. the true abundance of cameras worldwide is apparent, but I digress. what really kinda pisses me off is when I'm browsing around looking for anything decent find something that looks intriguing, good form, nice tones, great action, and then BAm! some stupid friggin signature hidden somewhere in the middle of the shot (this of course is different from purposeful text showing some kind of context). It's ugly, it's not classy, and all it seems to say is you're super concerned that your art is so good that everyone is instantly going to steal it.
So let that be a lesson to anyone who really cares, if you're going to claim ownership of your stuff, do so sensibly it can be initials, a symbol, by my god don't put it in the middle of your image!
